Isabella McPeak, MBA

Who I Am
My name is Isabella McPeak and I am passionate about the health of your business and the wealth of your family. I help owners of closely held family businesses and business partners in the Greater Seattle area to success and profit by balancing the boundary between business concerns and personal relationships. My unique blend of training and management consulting services focuses on your leadership, profitability, growth and succession planning. My clients tell me that I have the skills, positive energy and tools needed to bring partners and entire multi-generational family businesses into alignment and maintain family harmony.

What I do
Over the past six years, my practice has achieved results by emphasizing strategic planning, financial mastery, developing future leaders, effective communication skills, conflict resolution as well as sound business and growth management. I pride myself on providing an honest and objective business perspective for you as well as focusing on the importance of successfully juggling personal and professional lives. My top values are honesty, excellence, friendship and continuous learning.   I have a special gift to simplify complicated issues and my motto is:  “Simple is Sophisticated“.

Why I do it
If you want to partner with a highly experienced entrepreneur with hands-on experience in a family business, we should talk. With over 15 years of personal experience owning and operating a multi-million dollar professional services firm that specialized in distributors and manufacturers, I transitioned into leadership development six years ago.  As a recovering geek, I recognized that the technology was only solving 10% of the problems in any one company.  90% of the issues were always related to the people.  So I went on an educational journey to solve the business problem from the people perspective.  I understand the trials and tribulations of working with family members and spouses in your business as well as the complexity of separateing business from family issues.   My personal background includes three sets of mergers and acquisitions transactions including a very complex partnership buyout.  I am passionate about putting my knowledge and personal experience to use for you and your family business.

Over the past five years I have consistently been ranked as one of the top business advisors and leadership development specialists worldwide.   I am ready to use all my skills, my tools and my compassion to bring your business to the next level and maintain family harmony.

In order to get the best results, I also understand the importance of working as part of a cross-disciplinary team where accounting, behavioral, legal, tax and wealth planning professionals are coordinated, referred and aligned with the need of the business and the family.

Personal Background
In addition to advising and consulting, I enjoy presenting workshops, facilitating family retreats as well as speaking to groups of business professionals. Having been born and raised in Europe, I am a global thinker and culturally sensitive.  I am the proud mother of two grown sons, Patrick 29 and Sean 24.  In my free time, I love to travel, sail and volunteer for Rotary International.  As a charter member of the Rotary Club of Lake Union, I am proud to serve as the club’s president for the 2011-2012 year.

  2. Hi Sean:
There are a couple of coaches in the MD area that I know personally – Karen Boyd and Gary Stokes in particular. Attached is a link with their contact info. http://www.actioncoach.com/Find-A-COACH?country=United States&state=Maryland&sid=56

As an FYI: a lot of coaching is done by phone, webex or Skype. On the family business side, I find it important to meet in person. When working with high-performing entrepreneurs, phone and virtual business coaching can be highly leveraged and effective.

Might you know of any GREAT small business coaches in the Baltimore area?
